I'm currently looking for a partner for mount hood in between mid to late may. I'd like to spend a week there and do several different routes. Currently I'm thinking south side, leuhold couloir and cooper spur. I'm open to other routes and or other peaks.
I have some alpine snow ice experience but not much glacial experience. Would prefer a partner with glacier experience.
Lets go swing some tools and kick some steps!

hey dude, I was planning on coming out in late july/early august and doing a bunch of ski mountaineering. If you were to move back until then I would be more than stoked to climb with you. I would say my glacier skills are pretty good

Hey Brian,

I am planning on ski mountaineering the Cascade Ring of fire starting in early may at Mount Lassen in California. I hope to be getting to hood around May 24 or 25th and I would love to climb hood once with you if you still need a partner. I am an advanced ski mountaineer currently living and skiing in the tetons. I am very comfortable (but would not consider myself an expert) with glacier travel, rock climbing, rappelling, setting snow anchors, crevasse rescue, and self arresting/moving with a general mountaineering ice axe and crampons. That being said, I am not an ice climber and any routes that require ice tools I am unable to do. Additionally, I will be climbing several exciting volcanoes before (broken top, the three sisters, mount washington, three fingered jack, mount jefferson) and after Hood (Mount St Helens, Mount Adams, Mount Curtis Gilbert, Mount Rainier, Glacier Peak, Baker) so if you have a couple weeks and we worked well as partners you would be welcome to come with me for a few more mountains or you could just do hood several different ways and I could move on.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
