Here's something to actually be concerned about.

You mean un-concerned.

Federal, State and Local governments have been contracting with private companies for over 100 years for various services, many times it is just staff augmentation disguised as a service contract. If you are worried about this you would have a heart attack if you saw how government is run writ large.

Carlsbad Caverns has an elevator maintained by the Park Service and that is fine with you. They bring in say..... Otis Elevator to run the elevator and now its a problem? Or are you freaking out over seeing a Microsoft logo in your National park because the Dept. Of Interior and Parks Service logos are so much more appealing?

You’re not actually concerned about someone defacing the parks? Really?

Surely you meant, “here’s something else to be concerned about.”

You can't ban someone from a national park. I mean good luck it isn't like they check IDs when you enter. They really should fine & jail them for a few months, that would be more likely to deter people from doing it.

Malibu creek has a pretty bad problem with this and it really is sad that someone feels the need to do it. The ones i saw there were done at the top of the wall likely by someone who climbs. I hate to say it but i would probably have cut their ropes if I saw someone hanging off a top rope spraying on a wall.

This happened well over a year ago... maybe closer to 2 years. This isnt new. 2000 hours community service and a ban of what 6 or 9 years. She got off pretty light.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying. She can easily walk into a park, but if she is caught, she will be traspassing ... or worse. Maybe she'll heed the ban. Maybe not. Maybe she'll get caught. Maybe not. Either way, she's an a** h***.

True, but if she were cited for something else (speeding, illegal camping) while in a national park, and they ran an ID/warrant check, it wouldn't be good for her.

Sounds like she's still good to go on FS land, BLM land, Wildlife Refuges, State Parks, etc. There's a lot of land out there. So technically she could still purchase an Eagle Pass or whatever they call it and it would be good for other Federal lands besides National Parks.

:-)

200 hours, not 2k, although 2k would be better.

I see you read just the headline. Had you read the first paragraph you would have read the following:

A woman was banned from all national parks and federally administered land

Looks like her instagram site is still featuring her "art" with this fine caption: "a big deal."

Let's see what happens when putting up with her shit isn't justified by her looks. Hopefully she won't get away with too much damage to the world between here and there.

The crimes occurred two years ago. The ruling is new.

It's 200 hours, and a two year ban.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
