Highland Outcrops Rock Climbing
These are a collection of small to medium sized crags that are dotted around the fringes of the Highlands (mainly the Cairngorms). Some of the cliffs are worth a day or two in their own right while others are worth a visit if some of the other mountainous regions are off limits due to weather.
The A9 north of Perth provides access to many of these cliffs.

The first free ascent of Rat Race was a break trough in Scottish free climbing and is still a hard tick to onsight.1. Climb up the pod like crack on the left of the steep central wall.
