Josh J topping out.

Highland Highball

This is a true classic in Grayson Highlands State Park. This line is hands down my favorite v2 in GHSP.

Sit start in front of the boulder matched on the massive, acute angled side-pull column. Make a tough move up to establish on the face (may be the physical crux). Work in a direct line up the face through big moves to massive hands. The last move or two are possibly the hardest due to the mental crux, but the hands are huge. Bring a solid mind to this problem and it will feel like cake.

Never wanted to top out a 20 ft line so bad. Did with the 3 pads and 2 spotters and still shook like a leaf. Great top out though and as all boulders in this area into a awe inspiring view.

Yes, this line never gets dull for me even after countless laps on it. Anytime I get a chance to pull this line I do so. I think if I had to list the five top lines in GHSP, as hard as it would be, this would always be in the line-up. As heady as it is, I’ve test dropped from every point on it just to be sure I can recommend it to any and everyone and the landing is solid even from the last hold... But it's still scary as hell!
