High Rappel Dell Main Wall Rock Climbing
BETA PHOTO: Debutante(5.5) is Blue. Pump Now Pay Later(5.11d) ...
Trad, sport, and bouldering on a fun wall. The rock here varies from very good to very bad. Make sure you assess the bolt situation from the ground, some lines have very old bolts. I have unscrewed many bolts by hand (for safety, if they were fallen on, they were coming out anyway.) Other than that, great sport climbing is to be had. There is a great (but sharp) 5.13 on the backside, as well as great 5.6s. The only problem with the area is the absence of multitudes of moderates.
from Prescott, go north on 89. the cliff is obvious on the right. right before the "adult boutique".
Weather station 2.9 miles from here

Non-Dairy Screamer is the bolted line two to the right of Thank God (11d). It is a wandering route with many crux traverses and littered with good rests. Some of the bolts are spaced on this rig. Some of the bolts are also extremely rusted out and may not want to be fallen on.The original grade of this was 5.11d, but due to broken holds and consensus were proposing 5.12a/-If you get good conditions, and climb it in the shade it feels on point, in the sun however it may feel harder....[more] Browse More Classics in AZ

Does anyone know if that "5.13" on the backside by the decent gully has been climbed? I heard from few different sources that it is a joke and hasn't been climbed.

Every time I'm up there I take a look, I've never even seen chalk on it from being projected. I just stare at it thinking.."There is no way."

The route on the back side "Silver streak" has been climbed a few times. After Sterling Murray lead it at age 15, Leo Hensen downgraded it to 12+.

The High Rappel Dell is in the midst of a "facelift". Members of the Prescott Climber's Coalition are replacing the old hardware with bolts provided by the American Safe Climbing Association. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at email@example.com.
