Herzog Island can be easily waded to when the water is low upstream from Carderock, but wading in the Potomac is frowned upon by park rangers. Bring a canoe if you want to adhere to the letter of the law.

Description There are a number of routes on this face that range from 5.5 - 5.9.
Location On the western shore of Vaso / Herzog Island, across the water from Turkey Island, there is a southwest facing crag where Herzog's Face juts out.
