How do I add a new area for Hawaii?

Because someone put routes under Hawaii rather than under an area under Hawaii, that made Hawaii a crag, not and area- so the DB is out of whack.

Write the area admin and have them put a TBD area in to move the routes under, then Hawaii will become an area with sub-areas (like Islands and then crags) to be added as per your wish.

In this case, it's Andy Laakman. I've sent him a note.

Hey guys,

I notice that the Big Island has a lot less development than some of the other islands. Can someone let me know if that is just because no one is posting about it or due to lack of rock? I'm considering moving there but the decision rests heavily upon me being able to dance on rocks. I don't need to know specifics, I just need to know if the potential is there. Thanks!

There is no development there mostly due to a lack of rock. If you are a serious climber, the Big Island is not the place for you.

Little to none. Oahu hosts over 95% of established roped climbs.
