Description

This is the large blocky out cropping on top of Walt's Wall. Contains some great moderate trad climbs as well as one of the most challenging offwidth climbs around -- Lucille 5.13. There are rappel bolts on the top of Cats Cradle.

Getting There

You can reach this area by climbing one of the climbs on Walt's Wall and then proceeding to this area. You can also access this area by hiking around to the right of Walt's Wall and Fall Wall and scrambling up the gullies on the left after you cross the bridge. When you reach the bridge the big roof over Journey to Coramonde will be apparent.

Lucille 5.12d  WY : Vedauwoo : Hassler's Hatbox
This is the distinctive (and impossible to mistake) offwidth/squeeze chimney roof. Climb Best of the Blues (10b), the crack below with a small fist crack roof, to get to the belay cave for this monstrosity. Then go up. Go out at the roof, then go up when the roof ends. Be creative and you might score the 6th ascent!...[more]   Browse More Classics in WY
