Description

Sandstone in Germany! Abandoned quarry, set beautifully in the forest. Most routes are in the 5.10-12 range.

If you take the trail that leads from the parking lot to the climbs, stay right and you'll find a message board with a decent topo.

Getting There

1km north of Hainstadt, along the L3413. On the right-side of the road, at the corner of a switch-back, you'll see a Parking sign. That's where you want to be. See 'Aerial Photo' link above.

Relatively long route, fun moves @ the crux of P1. Stay left when you get near the end of P2! If you go too far right (just around the corner), you'll be on another route and end up at the wrong anchor. Also, if you're climbing at your limit, you may not like the distance between the last bolt of P1 and the anchor, but it's not too far.Though there are technically 2 pitches, there's no reason to not do it in 1....[more]   Browse More Classics in International

Since there's now a Hessen area, I guess this sector belongs inside it.
