Hi I'm visiting friends in Brooklyn and have always wanted to climb at the Gunks. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take much gear on this trip so I just have shoes, harness etc. I also don't lead a lot of trad but I do a lot of following and sport climbing so I have skills and strength. I would love to meet someone to climb with who doesn't mind being the rope gun. I'm a super safe belayer. Then come out to California and I will repay the debt! All my buds will be going home on the 3rd. I'd be happy to stay in the Gunks if I can find a partner. On the 5th or 6th I'll be heading north to the Adirondacks for the rest of the week. I'll lead 5.6 and some 5.7 at the Gunks. Let me know if you want to come up for a day or two.
One way or the other, you should go see the Gunks while you're so close. You won't be disappointed...
