Ill keep this short, but if you and your group are going to put a multiple top ropes on Red Slab in Rock Canyon or anywhere else PLEASE climb them! It pissed me off when I was up there WAITING the other day with my wife that the group wasnt climbing on the routes they had setup. And when asked if we could climb they would hurry and jump on it. Please have some climbing edict! (they had 4 TR setup BTW)
Also how hard is it to put up quick draws for your top ropes? This area is a VERY popular area so please put quick draws up and keep the hardware in good shape for the next climbers to come!!

Thank you

... as a last resort I hope. There is a pretty good ethic in use here in Wisconsin at Devils Lake where most do climb via toprope. Most climbers are very good at sharing/allowing others to use their ropes when not occupied. Would hope that attitude would spread to other places a bit more.

Sounds like the correct course of action to me.

Me and the offspring walking back to the car after a day of cragging.

It depends. It's bad form to leave a rope up for an extended period of time with no one on it. I've seen people do it though, completely oblivious that they're executing a perfect dick move. It's also bad form to say nothing and just pull a rope. It's really bad form to not be on a route, leave your rope on it, and when someone expresses interest in the route, you hop on it real quick so you don't lose it. Situations like that make you wish you had just been a dick and pulled the rope without saying anything.

I seriously thought about pulling at least one rope down but it was two guys with six chicks. I didnt really want to be a dick but I guess I should have been.

I wanted to lead the routes and then setup a TR with my own rope. I cant bring myself to use someone elses ropes.
