Description

2 good trad routes: The Far Side and Portal offer slab, crack and slight overhang.

Both can be toproped by walking left and circling up and around the peak from the back side to a large ledge where you can set up a trad anchor over both climbs. I used small and med. cams, Tricams and #5 and 6 Hexcentrics. Use slings or anchor rope to extend 7-8' over ledge.

Getting There

Routes are directly behind and right of campsite #8 off the group camp road, and offer good shade most of the day.

A slightly overhanging climb that starts with a big move on a partially detached flake. Continue up a few feet of face climbing to the obvious crackline which widens from fingers to hands to fist, then arm and body jams. Lots of great small ledges offer rest and security....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
