DescriptionThis is a small tower at the north end of the East Ironing Board. Here you will find several short crack routes as well as a couple of sport routes. This formation is closed Feb 1-July 31 for raptor nesting. The Green Thumb is listed separately from the East Ironing Board because it is not easy to follow the south ridge of this Ironing Board to the Green Thumb - a nasty overhang bars progress at a point about 150' north of the top of Velvet Elvis. Getting ThereThe easiest way to reach the Green Thumb is from the saddle west of the Third Flatiron. Follow a faint trail west, staying north of the crest of the ridge. You can also reach the Green Thumb from Bluebell Canyon by wandering up west of the East Ironing Board (past Velvet Elvis).
