Fragile Alpine Area MORE INFO >>> This is a fragile alpine bouldering area and following Leave No Trace principles is important. Never stash pads. Do not alter landings, chip or glue holds, or remove or alter vegetation. Walk on hard surfaces such as boulders or established trails. Store your gear on boulders instead of dirt or vegetation. Clean up spilled chalk and tick marks and brush holds. Keep your presence low key and unobtrusive. Pack out everything you brought and anything else that shouldn't have been left there. Description 

The Green 45 Area is found high on the north slope of Upper Chaos Canyon. Two huge boulders provide a bunch of classic problems.

Getting There 

From the huge boulder that guards the approach to Upper Chaos Canyon, head steadily north across the huge talus pile. Instead of working west as for the main Upper area, continue uphill north towards a distinctive large boulder. The area is actually two boulders making a large A-frame cave. The Green 45 is the lower boulder with Jade and 1000 Shades of Green. The larger upper split boulder is a worthy destination with problems such Leviathan Style, Two Ton Tongue and Suicide Season.
