The main face

Description

Hard to miss this boulder if you are walking along the road. A few tough slab climbs with the always fun Wave Traverse on the back side.

Getting There

From the main parking lot, walk past the main gate and take the right fork as though heading for the warm up area. Once you are past the pond on your left, walk along the trail on your right that runs along the shore (opposite of the warmup area). You'll pass the suicide boulder and it is the next big boulder on your left though you probably already saw it from the road.

To get to the Wave, walk around the boulder or scramble through the little chimney/notch on the right side.

Starts on the jug on the left and moves into the crack just after the little overlap.

The Wave V2  Rhode Island : Lincoln Woods : Great Slab / Wave Boulder
Super fun traverse with cool movement and foot beta.Start far left on a jug and traverse the lip with the difficult transition into the beautiful crack. continue to traverse and top out in the notch. I don't know whether or not the ramp below the crack is on but I never use it, just keeps it a little more interesting.Probably a bit easier than Mack's traverse....[more]   Browse More Classics in Rhode Island
