Arete problem

Description

There are several fine boulders littering the bottom of the canyon in the vicinity of the Grasshopper Point day use area, providing many bouldering opportunities on good black and tan sandstone. This is a great fall/winter spot; summer can be too hot and spring runoff blocks access to some of the problems. Bring a swimsuit and take a dip in the creek as long as you're here!

Getting There

Park at Grasshopper Point and walk down to the creek. The boulders are in various spots.

Happy Puppy V6  AZ : Northern Arizona : ... : Second Area

Best to try early in the day, before the sun gets on it. This is one of the few problems of its style in the Flag/Sedona area....[more]   Browse More Classics in AZ
