RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

The north-facing, arching roof of Gradute Cliff features at least four climbs: a crack (Walk to School, 5.7) a corner/face climb over a ceiling (The Graduate 5.10) and a pair of sheer slab routes with mixed pro (5.11 and up). The approach is mellow and descent is via rap anchors at the top of each route.

Getting There

Graduate Cliff is located in the Willow Springs area on the south side, a couple of hundred feet directly above Ragged Edges Rock. Approach by heading south from the parking areas. Jaunt to the right of Ragged Edges, around and to the top of that crag and then blaze up to Graduate Cliff.

Some tricky moves under a small roof lead to the corner proper. Follow the corner until a large roof is reached. From here, step left around the corne...[more]   Browse More Classics in NV
