The newest guide book out for the Gorge gives this climb a 10a which I thought was appropriate.

I agree that the climb is 5.10a. Like all great routes it challenges at more than just the brute strength level.

I'll second and third the 10a rating.

When I led it (May 08) it pushed the ceiling of my limit - I remember the start being reachy (I am 5'2")

Funky and exciting start leads into an otherwise boring route. Sad, given the quality routes on both sides.

A 5.9, with a 5.10 sequence at the start that's called a boulder problem, and some greasy slopers up higher that give a tennish feel. Maybe we should just drop the sandbag and call it a 10a (per the guidebook).
