Scrambling makes me feel so animalistic, and free.<br /><br />Jonny, and I using a bit of our natural route finding abilities, and scrambling like billy goats, just for the hell of it, after a fun day of climbing.

A casual day out exploring the old Vanderbilt mine on our way to check out some more remote desert roads in the Eastern Mojave desert. <br /><br />I think we drove about 200 miles total last Tuesday. It was a casual adventure in a 2WD truck. ; )<br /><br /> A fun, full value day; we got stuck in sand pretty bad out in the boonies, but got out with some hard work, and creativity, checked out Rock Springs, old cattle ranches, and hiked to some creepy abandoned shacks, and trailers (we were glad no one was home!) We saw skeletons of two dead cats down an abandoned underground basement (just thought I'd mention that); very strange living quarters to say the least; and we encountered other interesting desert dwellings, and dwellers scattered about throughout our day. <br /><br />We really enjoyed the Mojave desert at it's finest!<br /><br />I can't wait to return!
