Trolling is a fishing technique where bait is pulled behind a boat in areas where fish are thought to be. Eventually if you have the correct bait some fish will bite. I think trawling is done with a net and used in commercial fishing operations. I am too lazy to look it up but that is my understanding and I have been known to fish. I never troll for fish as it is not as rewarding as spot and stalk.

Eric has it straight. Both are fishing terms. Actually, I think e-trolling came from the fishing term. Its somebody running around posting incidiary comments and hoping someone takes the bait.

I actually find routecrusher to be a loveable troll. He put some major thought into the pics and such and I suspect its all satire.

Me at anchors of some crazy hard route on Cash Wall

James,

I found your bail biner. However since it was a 5.9 you left it on, I require 20 twelve packs of Dales Pale Ale to ensure its safe return to you. Please let me know when you want to make the swap.

Yep, then there's people who take it seriously enough to call people they don't know tools on the internet.

This could be a new thread, "what's the worst thing you've ever been called on the internet"?
