Placing pro.

You're almost right. The only REAL climbers are naked free soloists that don't use their feet.

I wonder when the internet will get sick of putting them up so I can knock them down?

I think it's important to note that there is a world of difference between trawling and trolling. The former is a fishing technique used in an effort to hook some unsuspecting fishies (setting up a delicious meal for later). The later is a posting technique used in an effort to hook some unsuspecting posters (setting up a delicious flame war).

Geez.

Trolling is a fishing technique where bait is pulled behind a boat in areas where fish are thought to be. Eventually if you have the correct bait some fish will bite. I think trawling is done with a net and used in commercial fishing operations. I am too lazy to look it up but that is my understanding and I have been known to fish. I never troll for fish as it is not as rewarding as spot and stalk.

I'm halfway considering locking this thread just to set a precedent for this kind of bullshit. I'm all for having lighthearted topics that poke fun at our sport, but at some point this place would do well to not turn into RC.com.

What happens when you:
1) have nothing to do
2) own a sharp knife
3) have a large lime
4) own a patient cat
5) drink too much tequila
6) and it's football season?

(An e-mail I received; just know that no cat was harmed in the carving of this lime. Clip it or Skip it

Now that's real climbing

This is probably irrelevant; but as a Luddite I'm wondering if lousy spelling and grammer are legitimately the function of the posters' ability, or some sort of online fashion statement? Just curious...
Later-yeah, thanks Bob; grammar. As I was writing, there was a bell in my brain ringing a foul; did I listen?

Piss poor spelling (it's grammar, actually), grammar, and worst of all, the improper use of apostrophes is probably not an online fashion statement since most people besides "Routecrusher5.12" are trying not to appear to be stupid.

You'd think it was a fashion statement based on how prevalent it is.

Trad is a selfish form of climbing. What about your family? So what if I only climb in gyms it's safe.

Easy there fellas. Whether it's Sport, Trad, Bouldering, Alpine or Aid, it's all climbing. Just enjoy the climb whatever form it happens to be.

Sport climbing is more selfish than trad climbing because with sport climbs you must place bolts into the natural rock whereas with trad, we place and then remove gear with no harm to the rock. So drill that bolt you selfish bastard ;^)

It's all good, though.

Oh by the way everyone, i'm not sure if this is the right place (I'm new) but I left a bail beaner on some 5.9 route (forgot which one) on the whale wall red rock open space. Could you possibly return it to me? I'll pay shipping or meet in the front range area. (I think I also left a sling)

No bets on page number, but I would money down that the troll at hand, routecrusher5.12 may have several aliases. Routecrusher5.12 AKA James Conner AKA dudemanguybro.
