Not that I live there anymore, but I've never not been able to get to it. You might get a little wet, and your slave might have to crane their neck a bit on a shitty slope, or up on the precarious ledge. But that never stopped me from lying to my friends about what they were in for, or acting like the belay wasn't that difficult!
The amount of melt off in the last month came at a pretty rapid pace. The river was pretty high leaving not much room for a belay when i was there a few weeks back.
If anyone that has been in the canyon recently has seen it that would help. thanks SAL
I have not been through CCC in a while, but I would think you could infer the probability of it being dry enough to climb by looking at river gauge height data. Notice it has dropped a foot in the last few weeks.
