I am looking for info on climbing in Madagascar, primarily in the Tsaranoro valley. Is July a good time to climb there? Is it easy to find partners? Any guide books available? What is travel like on the island? What is Camp Catta like? Any help would be appreciated.

No luck on Summitpost. The web has a few sites but little detail (a few topos) on Tsaranoro Valley and nothing on the limestone cragging in the north.

Africa is a good place to get used to a lack of detail. Plans go awry and stuff.

my guess is if you spoke some French or could do some searches in French you'd get more results.
