Description 

sun/shade mix. The boulders are barely visible from the parking lot and trails, however this is a high traffic area. The worlds largest tree, The General Sherman Tree, is several hundred feet away. Hundreds of problems are found here if you visit all the boulders. Season is from June-Nov.

Getting There 

There are many boulders scattered around the large parking lot(s).
About a 10 min. drive from Lodgepole Village.
The hwy198 turns into the Generals hwy in the park. Turn right onto the Wolverton Rd/Sherman Tree Parking. Take another right off of Wolverton Rd and head towards Sherman Tree parking, after a couple of mins, you'll see a series of parking lots. At the first parking lot on your left, you can park and walk across the road and into the fir forest and a bit right. Good boulders here.
Another easy to find group of boulders is go down the Sherman tree trail for 1 min(200ft) and look for the large boulders on the right + more off to the left a ways.
