On the hillside above the Ga-Nus Quah Rocks
Ga-Nus-Quah Rocks, translated Stone Giants is a small area within the park that hosts several large boulders many of them smooth from the river surrounding the area. The boulders have a variety of climbs, some very hard lines, and projects. Above the boulder field and extending along the ridge line past the main boulders are a variety of outcroppings and boulders which could use some development.

This is a low, slightly overhanging traverse around the outer edge of a very large boulder in Ga-Nus Quah. A razor sharp flake of rock has separated along the outside of the boulder, requiring meticulous hand placement in order to be completed. The flake thins towards the end, and foot holds simultaneously become more difficult to spot. It's probably V3 at the start, and a little harder as you reach the end. This thing really cut my shit up, hence the name. Find your holds before you climb!...[more] Browse More Classics in NY
