Fucoidal Quartzite is some of the best rock in the canyon; hence, it is also very crowded. It is warm and not too far from the road.

Forty routes grace these walls; some being multipitch. The grades range from 5.5 to 5.12d.

Getting There 

Park at the paved parking area at mile marker 472.5. Scramble up to the climbs.

WTF? Someone find a whole 200 extra miles somewhere?? Don't ask the ranger about it, apparently a touchy subject : )

Anyone know anything about the bolted arete between mission and community effort? Looks way run out.

I remember TRing that last year. It felt like a mid 10 - low 11? Seemed like there was a possibility of an arete up the bum after the first bolt.
