| I'm in the Boulder area and would want it in the next couple of days.
Anyone got one in my area that they are inclined to part with??
I check my email pretty frequently; please drop me a PM if you've got one.
Thanks.

I live in Lafayette, CO. Most people outside of the Boulder area don't know lafayette, but they know Boulder.
Thanks for the tip.

| Marc,
I made a batch of about 14 pairs of cuffs this spring while healing up a bad ankle. The hooks are not great, but work pretty good. The design is garage shop style, but so far nobody has complained about the materials or construction.
Presently the plan is to check in on interest again this winter, and see if it's worth the hassle to do another run. With sunny days it's hard to get myself to sit in front of the sewing machine. If you are truly desperate email me, tell me your story. I have just enough leftover supplies to make one more pair. If you REALLY want them I can try to motivate to make another pair. Price would be $80 plus shipping. I'll be in the valley next week, so about 3-4 weeks lead time is the best I can sign up for. I am now going to require money up front (which I hate), as I got stiffed by a feller in the UK (emails stopped after I shipped...).
Lately I've been working on a new aid tree setup. Cost would be prohibitive for most (have to charge >$100/pair due to the cost of the SMC rings, which is about $60 of just rings...). New design uses rubber inserts similar to some draws to hold the rings in place, and I have modified the webbing to the rings to make the rings, and 2" of webbing stick straight out sideways for MUCH easier hooking. I can post pics if there is interest.
Your other option would be to make your own, or have a friend with a burly sewing machine make you some. I posted instructions over on bigwalls.com: http://www.bigwalls.com/forum2/index.php?topic=312.0

| Moof--
Your offer is great. Unfortunately, I need them by next week; I'm headed to the Valley myself. If you've got a pair already made up that you could bring to the Valley, I'd be happy to pay whatever you want for them. I may still have you make me a custom setup when I get back, but I'll wait till I get back to figure that out.

| Marc,
Send me your calf measurement (just below the knee). I won't make any promises, but I'll see what I can do. I am ONLY supplying the cuffs. If you haven't already, see Russ at fishproducts.com for the aid trees. If he can't get you a pair in time, I can probably lend you a pair (you'll have to ship them back to me).
When I hit the valley I'm planning to jump right on the wall Saturday morning. If I can manage to finish them for you I can leave them at Curry Village in a bear locker with a combo lock, or at a location of your choosing. Otherwise I can priority mail them to you (not sure of your schedule). If that works for you, and I manage to get my act together, I'll email you the combo. We can settle up afterwards.

| Yeah, Marc. That's a pretty tall order you have there wanting those things on such short notice. It's like wanting a unicorn burger with pixie blood sauce. | |

I heard that's the special at the Southern Sun this week. I could get one tomorrow if I wanted.

Two weeks in a row they've had it. Well, look at all that Unicorn meat floating around Boulder, Tim.
All of a sudden Russian Aiders don't sound like such a stretch, do they? :)
Thanks, Kirra.

Marc and Moof,
Hey Moof, Marc could borrow/buy that pair of cuffs you just finished for me if you end up not being able to get to a pair for him in time. He'd still need aid trees like you said though...

| Healyje,
Marc emailed me direct. I offered to stay up a little late last night and bang out a set and overnight them. He declined my offer and said he'd get back in contact after his trip. He is not in absolute dire straights (either that or he took a look at the pics I've posted and ran like hell in the politest fashion he could).
Like I said, I have just enough extra for this one last pair (last pair of hooks, buckles, and ladder locks). Because those come from no less than 3 different outfits (unless innermountainoutfitters.com ships my order without the cinch buckles AGAIN, then it's 4) I am not keen to do these one at a time fashion, so if Marc ends up passing on them, I'll offer them up to the community. After that I'll need at least 6 orders to justify firing things up again. This last pair are going to be blue and red. I got them half done waiting for a go/no go email from Marc (and a calf measurement), so there is only about 1.5 hours of labor left to make a set. They are as far as I can take them without a calf measurement (unless I just make them the community average of 15").
