Mark, I sent you an email, also interested in the #5 (is this a C4 or older style?). Also interested in the pins and micronuts, depending on what your're selling for each of those.

Thanks.

Moving through the crux lock - now that's micro beta for you, that is.

Not sure why I'm writing this, and I've got nothing at all personal against the OP, but it just strikes me:

You all are buying used gear, sight-unseen, w/o even a cursory description of the state it's in? That confuses me - maybe you all know the man and have already seen his gear?

Do you know how old the stuff is, where it's been stored, what condition it's in? I'm sure the answers to those questions are all good, since he's no doubt a smart and kick-ass climber (he cracked a fingerboard he gets after it so hard - damn!), but I'd at least make a cursory inquiry before throwing down your cash.

Shoes, hexes and nuts are one thing, even biners if you're feeling lucky; but nylon goods, cams, ascenders etc are a trickier subject. Caveat emptor, always.

If I read this post again in the morning and it annoys even me, I'm going to delete it.

length on the pickets? I'll take them if I likes it, they are not bent in half or have some other unbeknownst oddity, and if, and only if Sirius approves--nice photo by the way sirius

I'm interested in the pins, what kind and how many do you have to sell???
I'll also take the hooks, offsets, and some of the biners, do you have any of the "BD lightweight Ds" or any "wire gate ovals" if not then regular ovals for racking pins will do.

thanks

When I consider buying used gear posted on this or other climbing web sites, I generally start with the following assumptions:

1. Climbing hardware like biners, nuts, etc. is pretty sturdy, long-lasting and not easily broken.
2. The person selling it is living and breathing, so the gear didn't fail for him/her.
3. Most climbers are conscientious -- they take care of their gear and wouldn't be so lacking in conscience as to knowingly sell defective gear to another climber.

Maybe I sound overly trusting, but I think these assumptions are a lot more reasonable than believing that I'm dealing with some shady character selling junk out of the back of a van in a dark alley. Especially when the person selling the gear is identifiable and accountable through this site.

Of course, before I actually go through with the deal, I'm going to want to know details on age and condition of the stuff, mainly so I don't overpay for it. If I was in the market, I'd feel perfectly safe buying any of the gear the OP has for sale.

hey there - can someone tell me how to post images?
i seem to be illiterate on this posting image thing and could use some help.

on the gear....
yes the gear is used, but i like to think that it is in good working condition or i would have thrown it away.
notice that there is no webbing, draws, ropes, harnesses.
hardware will stand up to years and years of use. that's why they call it hardware....

the img # is located under your images after you upload them.

There is an "Add New Photo" button but you'll have to "Add New Album" to get to that part
