What does the term "bump" refer to? Dumb question but I don't get it. What about other terms n such? I'm a pretty new user on MP especially when interactin in forums. Any advice on etiquette and tips for what to look out for on the For Sale dirtbag climber exchange? I am interested in buying and trading but thought I would get some advice from more experienced users before I get too carried away;) I sent a payment thru PayPal for a cam and it's been since last night and I have not gotten a response on the status of my "order" or payment receipt notification from seller. Maybe he's out climbing;) just a bit wary but trust that most of the folks on here are legit.

They are "bumping" their for sale thread back to the top of the forum.

Without any posts a thread gets buried, so they "bump" it back up.

Don't worry too much. I'd give it more time than since just last night.

A "bump" just moves the post back to the top of the for sale thread so it's more easily seen. You'll also see "TTT" or "BTTT" which is just "to the top" or "back to the top". Same idea here.

How do you bump it up? Just repost?
