Route line of Foolproof Plan.

Description 

Foolproof plan is a fun 3-pitch 5.9 trad route, with potential to push the route higher. Two other routes include Greek Salad (5.10c) and an unnamed 5.11a TR.


Getting There 

From the Roaring River Falls parking area, hike south for 15 minutes up to the base of the wall.

Climb up a flake, then pass a bolt (crux) at 20 feet and up to anchors. P2: climb up the corner (bring gear to #4 camalot) to a comfy belay ledge. P3: Up a section of wide crack then undercling out a roof (reminiscent of Commitment, in Yosemite Valley) to a comfy ledge. To get there, take the roaring river fall trail until a side trail goes east. Take that trail east for about 15 minutes to get to the foolproof plan route. If you walk south for 15 minutes from the parking area you just get to the falls, and it's a ways east of that.
