Description

Begin in a short corner below the left side of a large ledge. Gain the ledge and move straight up on thin edges and a vague crack finishing on monster flakes.

Location

This is located about 30 feet right of where the trail meets the cliff, before the trail turns the corner to the north.

Protection

8 bolts to anchors.

Another good moderate for the area. Some trickery mid-route leads to some of the friendliest jugs you'll find at Shelf.

There was a whole swarm of swallows flying in and out of those "monster flakes" this weekend. Be careful where you jam!

Thought this was part of the "Gem Wall." I guess I don't know where the Vault ends and the Gem Wall begins...

You're correct Jeremy. I added this in the wrong location several years ago. Could a Mod. move this route to the actual Gem Wall area please?

Be cautious of ledgefall potential getting to the 4th bolt (3rd bolt above left ledge). If this is at your limit and you weigh more than your belayer, you might want to have a contingency plan. Higher up there is a hollow sheet of rock that is pretty big with 1 or 2 bolts in it, which is a little unnerving.
