From Scott Rennak:
I am helping to organize three trail work days on Flagstaff Mountain this fall, and we need your help getting the word out to the community! We need about 30 volunteers each day:
Saturday, September 8th, 9a-4p
Saturday, September 22nd, 9a-4p
Saturday, October 6th, 9a-4p
We are doing some major trail restructuring, revegetation, and erosion control work. The work zone extends from the Upper Y uphill to King Conquer, and across the meadow to First Overhang including the rocky descent. The area has seen significant traffic since the 60s and if you've climbed there recently you know how rundown it has become.
The work days are in full cooperation with Boulder OSMP, with a grant from CMC, and the blessing of the Access Fund. We also have a bunch of great community sponsors like the BRC, REI, The Spot, La Sportiva, ABC Kids, Avery Brewing, and Movement. If you know a company that might like to get involved, please have them contact me, thanks!
