city of rocks
A buddy and I will be in Flagstaff/Sedona May 29th - June 1st. We would like to do some sport climbing - mostly in the 5.8-5.10 range. Any suggestions?

We would also like to camp for cheap? Is there any good public land to access? Are there any public showers in town?

Anyone who would like to climb and show us around would certainly be rewarded with good conversation and cold fermented beverages at one of the breweries in town.

Great quality rock on this one!
You can camp in the forest but there is a ban on campfires. I'll be around and would be down for some sport maybe at the pit... Send me an email and I'll give you my number if you are up for it Mark Mueller

A buddy and I will be coming for Memorial weekend. I'll have four days and would like to know where THE lines to get on are. I know.. I know.. I'm a tourist, so please save the Mr. Slate and others of the sort for the traffic jams.

I've been to the Pit and Kelly Canyon but not Oak Creek. Would like to do Trad/Sport/Bouldering. If anyone has suggestions for 5-star .11-.12 trad lines at Oak Creek and/or have other sport crag suggestions in the same range I'd really appreciate it.

I'd like to stay away from the crowds. If anyone could help that'd be great. Thanks!

...Oh and sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Just didn't want to start a new topic.

On camping we just took the back roads out and around Priest Draw, or take the road up the Mountains.. Both were free and nice.

Check out the Waterfall Area. It's got AWESOME trad and mixed climbs! It's great this time of year, just make sure you chase the shade. RyanJames

Winslow Wall will be cool and shady but probably have some company. Isolation Canyon has great trad and mixed lines but its a warm hike; wall gets shady around 10-11 AM manuel rangel
