Description

Fish Wall is lowest of the crags in the Duty Dome area, and the first encountered on the approach trail. The routes here tend to be a mix of bolt and gear protected climbing on textured stone. Many of the routes are essentially face climbs, or follow intermittent cracks. Some of the easier routes in the Duty Dome area are here, including several worthwhile 5.8s. Moss and lichen are beginning to reclaim some of the less travelled climbs.

Getting There

Hike the trail from the road to the fork. Hang a left and follow the trail to the base of the wall.

A surprisingly fun route with interesting climbing; pity it isn't longer. The first climb on the trail to Fish Wall. Face climb up and around a corner past several underclings, then a few slabby moves before grabbing the top of a large flake and ending the difficulties. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in WA

Climbed a couple of routes up there last week. Clipped 1/4" rusted pinheads on Looney Tuna, the far right 5.10a in the guide book. Be careful leading if 10a is at your limit, I wouldn't want to fall on these. Other routes have new bolts...
