DescriptionThis is an area of scarce volcanic boulders just north of Bishop in the Tablelands. Exploratory bouldering with many gems to be discovered. Getting ThereTake U.S. highway 6 north from Bishop a mile or so to Five Bridges Road on your left. Follow this past the aggregate plant and take your next right at the 4-way intersection onto Fish Slough Road. Past the ranch and after the pavement turns to dirt, take your first right across the brook and then a left soon after where the road forks. Good roadside boulders can be found if you follow the road north, passing the cattle guard. Exposed rockbands can be seen from here on the east (right) side of the road. Many boulders have come loose and placed themselves below on the hillside. Go take a look and see what you find.
