shady and sunny climbs. Can be windy and cold in the fall and spring. very secluded. rock type is a granite and quality is good to great.
Mostly sport ranging from 5.7 to 5.11. Great place to go. put it up as an instutional climbing site years ago. Never reported it because I wanted for my groups. Now that I am no longer n Cali. I will let this one out. Have fun. There is one 3 pitch sport/trad route on the south west corner. bolted anchors on the first 2 pitches and the top on the 3rd. walk off to the north.
Getting There
Take 395 north from personsville to the Kennedy Meadows turn off of 395 (about 4 to 5 miles north of persosville. Look for the Chimney Peak sign. Drive about 20 to 25 miles to Kennedy Meadows store. From the store go to Fish campground on your left however, turn right on a dirt pad for over use camping. follow dirt road until you can go straight or left, go left. Once you make the left go about 100 yards and park. Hike to the end of the road where you will see a motorcycle bridge, hike across the bridge, once across the bridge make a left and follow fish creek up stream until you see the rock. The approach is about 15 min from the car.
