| Are they any good? Their down expedition parka (Peak XV) is half the price of a Marmot one (Marmot 8000). Is the difference in price just because one is a name brand? Or is the Marmot better? Thanks! | FLAG |

| Wait until the Peak XV is on sale if you can. It was a freaking bargin last christmas. I'm planning on getting one this year if the sale is as good again. It's a good jacket. | FLAG |

| I got it on sale. 50 bucks off. But my friend has a marmot she wants to get rid of. If the marmot is better I can return the first ascent and get the marmot for about the same price (I'm guessing). Only thing is I'm lazy. & if they're both the same why bother? | FLAG |

| Never mind. I'm going with the Marmot. Tried and tested. | FLAG |

| I don't think the Peak XV is comparable to the 8000 Meter jacket. The 8000 Meter jacket weighs over 3 pounds, the Peak XV is 2 pounds. If you want Marmot I'd probably compare the Greenland Baffled jacket to the Peak XV. | FLAG |
