Female Climber Wanted

Hi Northern California ladies! I know this isn't a dating website but at least I have genuine intentions and haven't subscribed to something as stupid as a Tinder app. So.... If you are a motivated single female climber and are psyched to meet up with yours truly (a stoked, single, experienced, 36 year old male climber) keep reading....If not... only continue to read if you want a good laugh.

Now I know this may not be the most tactful place to try to find a climbing date/partner, but I don't meet many people in the climbing gyms because I am often there on my days off in the afternoon when all the normal 8 to 5'ers are in their cubicles AND do most of my outdoor climbing with my friend Ted (Ted sorry for the name drop, I'll get you one of the new ultralight C4's).

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and work part time as a neonatal critical care nurse at Stanford so have plenty of time to get out on trips. I normally can't stand when nurses spray about all the good work they do in the world online BUT I can almost guarantee you this.....if in the off chance you happen to go into precipitous labor up on a cliff somewhere I have advanced human baby life saving skills!). 'Nuf said.

I'm into lots of different types of climbing including trad, sport, ice, and high altitude mountaineering. I'm also into skiing, snowboarding, trail running, and admittedly some bouldering and gym climbing.
I consider Yosemite and the High Sierras to be my home but go all over the world and have interests abound.

I have all the necessary gear and am very safe. Leading up to 5.11's and ice 4-5.

Sorry for the verbosity. It would just be AWESOME to find someone that shares the same passion as I do that I click with AND doesn't have 500 boyfriends. If you're interested in meeting up at the gym or elsewhere let me know! I'm enthused to meet up. Stalk my FB if you want and then text me!

What about a really good looking dude as a partner? Let me explain before you jump into any conclusions. First, I'm a straight dude and second, I have a girlfriend. My offer as your climbing partner is to attract other females, which I can then pass on to you. This is an offer most climbing bros can't refuse. Just sayin'

Kevin,

Crackin' me up. Well what did you have in mind? BTW I know plenty of female climbers just none of the ones I climb with are single.

Alicia,

Thanks. My expectations are low but worth a shot. Obviously I have no shame.

What if I have just 499 boyfriends?

Don't be so quick to discount dating sites. You probably have at least as good odds of finding a date on a dating site that also wants to climb, as you do of finding a climbing partner on a climbing site that also wants to date.

Good luck!

I guess I have to be flexible. 499 is acceptable. Haha.

Hey, wtf?! You should all be caucusing! If you're in Colorado that is.

Good lord, if this works for casey, which I sincerely hope it does brother, this partner finder will turn into some tinder like thing, although it would be cool if we could just swipe right or left to find climbing mates

Casey, I think we have some mutual friends. Didn't you climb with Tina and Alex in Lee Vining this past weekend?

As far as climbing, I'm mostly a mountain climber that sometimes get lost out in Joshua Tree flailing on some rocks. I'm currently into high altitude peaks. Looking to set up something in Pakistan in the summer of 2017 after a spring season in Nepal.

Also looking to do some peaks in the Sierra. Have you done the Northeast Ridge of Mt. Williamson? It seems spring is the best time to get on it.

kevin,

Ya I was out there with them ice climbing. First time meeting them. I'm headed to Peru for 6k meter peaks in June but will be back for the usual Yosemite and High Sierra stuff when I get back. Next year I might go back for Denali. What you planning? When I did Williamson several years ago I just went through the bowl and up the chute. Beautiful summit of course.

JM,

Ya we should have dating apps exclusively for different things. I think they have one for fitness singles but I'm sure they are doing the normal fitness things.

isn't that called Crossfit? one massive fitness orgy.

Regarding climbing, I'm thinking of a few 8,000m peaks in the spring/summer. I'm thinking about acclimatizing in Nepal then head over to Pakistan for a quicker climb. It worked out well a few years ago going from Nepal to Kyrgyzstan for a few 7,000m peaks.

Have fun in Peru. Spent a couple of seasons down there. Probably one of the best climbing towns in Huaraz, next to Kathmandu, of course.

I've got some female, single climbing partners here in CO Springs, brah. Why you have to live out in Cali?

If any of you CO guys are interested, bump this thread and I'll send the link to the ladies. 30s-ish is a good age range.

Pulling some photos from the archives. Awesome.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
