I'm a fan of the climbing videos. Wondering what some of MPers favorite scenes are from different videos. One of my favorites is from The Sharp End when Honnold climbs the arête, also Nalle climbing Livin Large in Core is awesome. Being amazed by Fred Nicole's forearms is always fun too.

Peter Croft climbing incredible hulk, also Ueli Steck soloing the Eiger north face is pretty amazing. These are both on reel rock 2010

Topher Donahue whipping on "Broken Brain" in "Return 2 Sender". Has a cam placed and everything, just to pumped to pull the rope up & clip.

The Sharks fin--RR7, when Jon Krakauer talks about Conrad, "Climbing is such an impossible life to explain...."

Dosage III (or IV) where Dave Graham is talking about living on the Ranch in Arkansas. He yells at the dogs, "Chili, go on, get outta here! Foxy, go on, get outta here!" Best scene ever.

The Trango Towers section in 'Splitter' is really great. Especially all the nutty effects/jokes to Jimi.

Film: Hard Grit

Scene: Seb Greive attempting the second ascent of Parthian Shot (E9 6c), a hard, dangerous grit route protected solely by a nest of RP's behind a suspect flake. Seb climbs past the flake and falls from above, whipping on to the nest of RP's. In the film, you can see several of the nuts pull out and slide down the rope to Seb's harness, but the others hold. Now, until Seb lobbed onto this flake, no one had really taken the fall. The first ascent was headpointed and never tested the flake with a fall. Years later Will Stanhope ripped the flake attempting the route and decked, landing himself in the hospital...

So, back to the film.

Seb, hanging on the end of the rope, happy to be alive: "Some came out of the bottom!"

Belayer: "Of the flake or your bum?"
