Description

This section will include routes between The Bulge (5.9 trad) and Hoi Polloi, the rightmost sport route at the Shield.
Great warmups with a couple of more difficult routes thrown in. Some of the best moderate sport routes in Jackson (in my opinion). Don't expect to find solitude on this section of the cliff, though.

Getting There

See main Hoback Shield approach directions. Hoi Polloi is the furthest right sport route.

Awesome route invoving fun pulls between interesting limestone pods (with the usual mix of Shield slabby face moves). Solid for the grade. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in WY

watch out for the gully to the right of Hoi Polloi. we were there on a windy day and small rocks and debris just rained down. only really small stuff, but still, it was coming down without much encouragement. despite that, a fun spot.
