Description

This block is located down the hill from the rest of The Knobs blocks. The climbs are very high quality.

Getting There

From the approach trail, head right to reach the corridor between the Main Block and the Mungo Jelly Block. Don't go through the corridor, but head right between the Mungo Jelly Block and the Lickmaster Block. Continue past these blocks and follow a faint trail to the right of another block with a few routes to its end. Continue down over the hill until you find another block. Most of the climbs on the Far Block are located on the opposite side if approached in this fashion.

Featured Route For Far Block

Unknown, 5.9 5.9  PA : The Knobs (Rob's Knob) : Far Block
Climb the steep crack. It begins to widen toward the top. The crux is where it gets wide. Caution: I've seen a well placed #3 camalot track out when a climber fell at the crux and the red alien below kept his head inches from the ground. Back this up if you can, the rock is not well traveled and tends to have a fine layer of loose grit on the surface. Nice climb though, especially if you enjoy cracks. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in PA
