Eye of the JoZ !!

Description

Starts at 2 bolts very close together and trends to the right up to the bulls-eye shaped "Eye" feature. Then back left to chaindraw and anchor. Lots of good movement, very sustained.

Jan 8 2016: The hard-to-reach bolt a few feet above and left of the EYE has been pounded in and a new 1/2 incher installed about 2 feet to the right.

Protection

Elegant edging leads to a high crux and a powerful finish. Definitely a Tucson classic for the grade - as good as Tsunami or Sentenced (if you can overlook the glue...).

The holds on this route are quite ... snappy. Had a series of ever-changing beta due to hold loss.

Hah! It's more that your ten-foot wingspan allowed you to skip the small snappy holds that I had to use.

Nice going Ryan. Wondered where all the chalk on Yard Boss came from when I was there last week. Didn't think anyone ever got on that thing.

Thanks Eric. If Dominic and Shefus hadn't made it look so fun I'm not sure I'd have gotten on it. I'm glad I did, a tad small and sharp in spots but very fun.

Thanks for moving the bolt Jbak. Although I skipped it on my redpoint run, the new location was tons easier to clip on a couple of close runs I had before the send.

Thanks also to Tom & Elke for reinforcing the creaking flake below the "eye".
