I am a Physician Assistant (PA) with an extensive outdoor and wilderness medicine resume looking for opportunities to go on trips anywhere in the world to help teams out with medical care and expertise at "base camp" or as part of any kind of adventure. A short summary: I've been climbing rock, ice and mountains for 20+ years, have training as a Wilderness EMT, a Bachelor's of Science in biology, a Master's in medical sciences, and 10 years of experience in hospital, emergency and family medicine. I'm looking for an entree into the world of expedition medicine. Please give me a shout if you have need or interest in having me along on your adventure for a little extra assurance and knowledge.
I can't offer you a work as a medical assistant but I would be curious to learn more about your career path. I'm a 24 year old male with a BA in geological sciences, have been doing serious climbing for 7 years, and am currently shadowing/assisting some PAs and PTs in various clinics in the front range. So I would also be interested in that sort of lifestyle. If you have any tips or wanted to chat sometime feel free to reach out!
