Description

Various opportunities for sandstone climbing around and on the lake. I've heard talk of a number of places to boulder, but not done any myself. More obvious is the deep water soloing to be done, most notably the bluffs near the dam.
I wouldn't say this is a destination in itself, but if you're headed to Lake Eufaula be sure to throw in your climbing shoes!

Getting There

Lake Eufaula is located near the town of Eufaula, OK, just south of I-40, 110 miles east of Oklahoma City.

I don't believe I would be doing any "Deep" water soloing on Eufaula lake. The water level is known to be shallow and anyone should consider checking water depths very thorough before climbing sandstone cliffs of so-so quality on Eufaula. Go to TenKiller Lake for Deep water Soloing.

I just climbed both routes, perhaps with some accidental variation, and had a blast. The depth-finder on the boat measured the water to be about 37 feet deep under the routes and they're overhanging. The routes are very fun and it's a blast to fall in the water. I highly recommend it!
