Entering "Projects" as routes in the database

I have been noticing a lot of entries lately for projects, some that have barely seen any of the moves done. Sometimes it makes sense to enter a project; either a route with fixed gear that has been opened up for anyone to try, or to eliminate confusion with other routes. Very occasionally, even a project without fixed gear or a boulder problem may warrant mentioning if it is a recognized popular and classic problem that people throw themselves at. What I don't think is helpful is
clogging up the database with a bunch of mediocre boulder problems that you have tried a few times or even just envisioned. Thoughts?

Why not. But maybe have some built in deprecation so that if it doesn't get updated after a while it won't show up in search/area listing.

On a similar note, it would be nice if the route page can show everyone who has the route on his/her todo list. This really could help w/ partner finding for a particular project.

I really like this idea.

This shouldn't be a problem in New England, Mark. All doable projects are someone's secret and the projects on MP are the ones that are waiting for Dave Graham to return home to send...

Ditto. This would be a great feature.

I think if I entered all my envisioned or half done projects I would overload the MP servers.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
