I'll be in southern England Sept 7-10 and northern Italy Sept 11-24. Not sure what's in England yet - I'll be based in Guildford - but would definitely love to check out Finale Ligure and maybe some Dolomites in Italy. Headed for the crags anyway but if anyone knows they'll be in the area and is game, give me a shout!

Likely I'll be around Italy for some of those dates. And I've climbed before in both Dolomites and Finale. but ...
Those two places are mainly known for very different kinds of climbing.
And it's a _long_ drive from one to the other.
What kinds of climbing do you like to do? At what difficulty level?
Will you have a car?

Cool that you've climbed both places! I don't know much about them. I like a lot of different stuff so far, mostly have been on my local crags in CO only with lots of sandstone and some quartzite and granite. I like single and multi pitch but haven't done a whole lot of the latter - would like to! Started sport leading recently and can handle a 5.9, like to follow 5.10s. Just did my first trad lead and don't have a rack, but cool with following and cleaning. I'm no 5.11 climber but game to try anything.
I'll be based in Turin and also an hour north of there - was going to hop a train to Finale and maybe rent a car if I wanted to go Dolomites.
That's my deal... would love to touch rock in Italy!!

Around Torino and an hour north are a lifetime of almost any kind of climbing.
Including interesting high-mountain granite routes on the southeast side of Mont Blanc (or "Monte Bianco"), like at Rifugio Dalmazzi. Also some of the best crack-climbing in Europe.
Torino is also in easy driving range of the French Alps (where I might be some of the time).
It's not difficult to drive south from Torino to Finale -- which is mainly about limestone sport climbing. Some of the crags are reached by very narrow dirt roads. I sometimes wonder if I should rent a scooter there. There's lots of other interesting crags between Torino and Finale.
Dolomites are mainly about Trad multi-pitch, and Via Ferrata routes. But there's also single-pitch Sport crags around (which I have visited and enjoyed and have guidebooks for). And along the way driving from Torino to the Dolomites is the limestone sport climbing around Arco (approximately as great as Finale Ligure) which likely in addition has more multi-pitch limestone walls than Finale.
There's so much great climbing closer to Torino than the Dolomites, you might want to save Dol for another trip.
I'll be in Finale Ligure from Sep 7th through Sep 17th and totally down to climb. I have a harness and car but don't have a rope or quickdraws with me, so we may need to find those.
I'll lead 5.10-5.11 sport and 5.7-8ish trad.
Send me a PM and I'll share my email/fb seeing as my phone doesn't work over here.

We'll miss this time because I'll still be in the Dolomites until after that. France and west Italy will wait for later in the Sept -- unless the weather turns bad in Dolomites (which often happens).
