Enchantments Conditions

Looking to do some winter backpacking/snowshoeing the 22nd & 23rd. Does anyone know how the access to the Colchuck lake trailhead is or access on the other entrance to the core zone? Are the roads other than the main accessible?

According to fs.usda.gov/detail/okawen/a…, it's still open, but I don't know how up-to-date this is, and I know they close eight mile road during the winter at some point.
