Hi,
what does the message in red on moutainproject saying:

Your email (*@bath.ac.uk) has been marked as undeliverable by your mail provider and you need to use a different email address.

mean?

I have always used the same email address with mountain project and never had any problems, and my mailbox is not full.

Thanks.

If the actual email address that you used was *@bath.ac.uk, that would not work since the '*' character is normally used as a wildcard character in computer systems. Hope that helps. Cori Tite

The generic answer: it means our mail to you was rejected by YOUR mail system. It could be a typo in your address, or your mail server just doesn't like Mountain Project, but in either case, there's usually nothing we can do on our end.

David, in your case, the record shows an "unknown" error, which happens ~2% of time (it's almost always and "address does not exist" error. I've manually removed you from the block list, so feel free to try again.

I am getting the same thing on my email account, and there is nothing wrong with it. This is an issue on Mountain Project's end. Please address it. If you still believe that there is nothing that you can do, post the bounce message that you are getting when sending to sbrady AT haikuengineering DOT com. Sean Brady

Sean, we tried to send you 4 emails today, and they all bounced with code 4.4.7, which comes with this explanation (not my words): "SMTP Error 447 : Your outgoing message timed out because of problems with the receiving server who objected to your message."

I can remove you from the block list, but unless haikuengineering mail server does something different the next time, it will automatically block again.

This is a gmail mail server - haikuengineering.com is hosted through google apps. I'm betting their spam bot is shutting this down. I believe, since you are the owner of the outgoing mail server, that you should open a ticket with google apps. I can do so as well if needed. Sean Brady
