Description
An excerpt from Jim Thurmonds book, Granite Climbs of Missouri.
"Weathered granite mountains dot the landscape. Clear, cold water cuts through the bedrock. Tall pines and the occasional cactus grow through the thin soil. This description could be taken from a guidebook to the Rocky Mountains. However, these are the St. Francois Mountains of the Ozark Plateau."
