Elephant In The Room

"Elephant In The Room" is charaterized by steep, sustained climbing with one real rest before the last boulder problem crux. Finish via the last bolt of "Hypertension", and this route shares the same anchor.
Climb the steep arete just right of Vasodilator.

Really fun climbing, and unlike the typical Boulder Canyon fare, it's not a heinous one-mover. I think it's somewhere in the .13b/c range, but it's always hard to say for sure. Great "find" by Josh as the route sits right next to the uber-popular Vasodilator. Lazy bottom feeders (like myself) are indebted to all the guys like Josh out there developing quality new routes!

Really quality route for BoCan, more folks should go do it! Props to the Joshs for this contribution.

Got on this route over the weekend & have a lot of mixed feelings. On one hand, the movement and positioning is absolutely quality and deserves 4 stars. On the other hand, the holds (even before the crux) feel a bit "unnatural" (i.e. aggressively cleaned) and some of the gluing at the crux seem done to force the sequence (reinforcing one hold that isn't so critical and smearing on other smaller holds that they become unusable).
If outdoor gym climbing is your thing, it'll rival the quality of the best Rifle routes. Otherwise, you may be disappointed.
